And other than that, everything is all mine! As I write this, I just finished producing a video I made for this poem that I am super proud to show you guys, so yeah! This piece has a pretty big story behind it, but I feel like telling you what inspired it would kinda ruin the experience of this poem, so I’m just going to… let you wonder, I guess. That feels good, for a change. As well, the video for this poem should be releasing this upcoming Wednesday, at 9am PDT, so get excited for that I guess? I personally am super proud of it and think it really adds to the whole experience. As well, the first episode of my podcast, Sonnets of a Teenage Wannabe, just came out–you can find all of the places to listen to that here. 🙂
This makes me so nostalgic and sentimental, I spent a really long time working on it–and I’m really hoping all that love and care paid off. Also, I’m working for an extra-special video for this one, so stay tuned for that, and I’ll let you guys know when it’s out!
I got a new audio editor! A fancy cool one with like fifty different options for reverb and distortion effects, aka basically my ideal program for working in. (If you’re interested, this was mixed with Adobe Audition and recorded with a Blue Yeti microphone, lol.) Anyhow, my single goal with these piece was to make, like, an angsty retro opera vibe at a theatre where someone was probably murdered, and with some added angst–and hopefully I got that right! You can read the text version here if you want 🙂
Another pretty experimental piece! I’ve been thinking about working in some singing into a spoken word track, so… this is my best attempt at that, and it probably is gonna make me wanna claw out my eardrums in a couple years from now, but, um, I hope you all like it!
